Have you ever seen Wayne Grudem’s book, Systematic Theology?   It was one of my husband’s text books in college.  In my opinion it is rather sizable and scary.

So, although it stares at me from the bookshelf, I’ve never actually worked up the guts to read it.

Several weeks ago we received news that big changes were taking place with my husband’s employment.  While we had already been thinking along the lines of making a switch, this news from his employer has brought the issue to the forefront of our minds.

One mistake we want to avoid is for my husband to jump into another position just for the sake of financial security or job security.  Our prayer is that we will see doors open up which will allow my husband to use his natural strengths and abilities for the glory of God.

We’ve been listening to Living on the Edge where Chip Ingram just finished up a series entitled How to Land the Job of Your Dreams.  We’ve found the series to be a great blessing to us.  Isn’t God’s timing awesome?!

As always, Chip is encouraging and very open throughout the series.  He explains how we tend to have misconceptions of work, and then fills us in on God’s design for work.
